Shanghai Grain Science Research Institute
Shanghai Grain Science Research Institute is affiliated to Shanghai Liangyou (Group) Co., Ltd. It is a research institute on the development and application of the comprehensive processing technology on grain, oils, foodstuff and its derivants. It owns a group of senior researchers. These specialists mainly undertake the research on technology and equipments, which are used for processing oils, rice, flour, vegetable protein, starch, fatty acid and their derivants. The institute also carries on research on testing techniques of cereals, oils and foodstuffs.
Its Shanghai Oils and Foodstuffs Quality Inspection Center has passed the inspection from the state-level lab. It shoulders the task of testing 14 large categories and about 100 kinds of oils and foodstuffs, including unprocessed cereals, oils, rice, flour, flour products and seasoning, in order to provide notarization data to the society.
Its Shanghai Technical Committee of Oil and foodstuff Standardization is engaged in the standardization of oils and foodstuff, harmonizes the formulation of local standard and censors the standardization manuscript submitted to this institute.
Professional science and technology journals Cereals and Oils, Shanghai Condiments are edited by this institute and published nationwide.
